Ejerskifte: Streamlined Vehicle Ownership Transfer App
Ejerskifte is an app designed for transferring ownership of privately owned vehicles without the need for a registration certificate. Both the buyer and seller need to have the app installed and log in using NemID/MitID. Together, they can facilitate the transfer of vehicle ownership, ensuring the new owner is registered in the Motor Registry.
Upon downloading the app and logging in with NemID/MitID, sellers can initiate the transfer process for their vehicles, generating a code to be shared with the buyer. Buyers can add a new vehicle by entering the received code, identifying the relevant vehicle. After selecting insurance options, buyers pay a fee of 340 DKK for the ownership transfer. Once completed, both parties receive a receipt of the transfer stored within the app.
